Get the
Most From Your On-line Analyzer
| An on-line analyzer is only
as accurate as the product supply stream it analyzes.
Proper sample stream conditioning is essential
in avoiding erroneous results. Welker Probe Regulators
are designed to provide your chromatograph, H2S
analyzer, thermtitrator, moisture analyzer, gravitometer,
calorimeter, or other on-line gas analyzer with
a properly conditioned sample |

| Welker probe regulators
collect product from the center 1/3 of the
flowing stream where the most representative
sample is found |
|
| The point of regulation
is near the tip of the probe. Thermal fins
around the probe counter the Joules Thomson
effect and avoid freeze-up |
|
| The patented automatic
insertion models allow installation and
removal from high pressure lines without
interruption of pipeline flow. |

"Why
use a Welker Probe Regulator over pipeline wall
connection?"
With a pipeline wall connection, the sample
is drawn from along the wall of the pipe where
a high percentage of the contaminates travel.
Welker Probe Regulators draw product from near
the center of the flowing stream where the most
representative sample is located.
"Would not a simple probe and a standard
instrument regulator provide the same results?"
Welker Probe Regulators are designed with
the point of regulation near the tip of the probe.
The natural temperature drop that occurs at the
point of regulation (Joules-Thompson effect) is
offset by the thermal fins on the probe. The design
also inhibits liquid carry-over. The need for
multi-stage regulation, filters, and drip pots
is eliminated. |
|
"I
need to be able to install the probe under
pressure and easily retract it for pigging operations.''
Welker Automatic insertion Probe Regulators are
designed for insertion into and removal from
pressurized lines without pipeline shutdown. When
used with an isolation valve, the Automatic
Insertion Probe Regulator may be completely
installed and totally removed without interrupting
pipeline flow |
