Product Descriptions
Gas Sampler: The Welker Engineering Gas sampler
is designed to be mounted on the pipeline close to the
sample point. The gas sampler action that is self-purging
to taking each sample. The sampler is o positive displacement
pump so the sample is taken at pipeline pressure and
pumped into the sample container. The sample is unaffected
by ambient conditions and is also capable of building
pressure in a standard sample cylinder. The sample is
also capable of pumping a sample into a sliding piston
sample container
The gas Sampler may be timed pneumatically or electronically
and is capable of taking samples on a timed basis or
proportional to the flow. The timing of the gas Sampler
may be interfaced with orifice meters, turbine meters,
or positive displacement meters. In production operations,
the sampler may be pulsed by level controls or dump
valves.
Control Valves: The Welker Jet control valve
is manufactured in three styles. The standard body fits
into conventional piping configurations, an insert style
fits between to standard pipe flanges, and the new top
entry style, for ease of maintenance. The control of
the Welker Jets is accomplished by the use of pressure
or differential controller. The Welker Jet, because
of its expanding rubber plug control element, has infinite
range, positive shut-off, and pressure control. Regardless
of the size of the control valve, the features remain
the some.
The control valve's design offers unlimited flexibility.
The straight through flow path and high recovery design
makes the Welker Jet applicable in all types of gas
control installations.
Instrumentation Panels: Welker Engineering manufactures
instrumentation panels for pneumatic supply for control
systems and instrument supplies. The systems employ the
filters, regulators, relief's, and automatic liquid
dumps built specifically for gas service.
Automatic Insertion Devices: Welker Engineering
manufactures several patented insertion devices. These
insertion devices con insert pipelinedevices while the
line is operational and pressurized. The AlD's con be
designed for pressures ranging from 5 to 10,000 psi.
Greater pressure ranges are available upon request.
Light Liquid Hydrocarbon Sampler: The LS-7 Light
Liquid Hydrocarbon sampler is a skid mounted sampling
system. The system consists of the sampler, sliding
piston sample container and the back pressure cylinder.
The LS-7 is used for EP mixes, propane, butane, natural
gasoline, and condensate. High vapor pressure products
when sampled must be maintained of pipeline pressure
to preserve the liquid phases of the products. The LS-7
has a mixing system to ensure a uniform mixture prior
to sample draw off and transport. The LS-7 system is
capable of maintaining all products in their original
phase.
Sliding Piston Sample Containers: The Welker
Engineering Sliding Piston sample Contoiner was designed
to meet the needs of the person who is sampling a product
whose state must be maintained. A product, be it gas
or liquid when caught, has a tendency to change from
a liquid to gas or vice-versa, the product may be sampled
in the sliding piston cylinder and maintained as it
is in the pipeline of the time the sample is caught.
The Sliding Piston Sample Container is available with
a vortex mixer that offers complete mixing capabilities,
as well as other mixer types.
Visible Water Analyzer "Water Watcher":
The "Water Watcher" incorporates o high pressure
sight glass in the bottom of the constant pressure sample
container After a sample is drawn into the sample contained
the piston on the sight glass is retracted to allow
the operator to see and measure if there is water in
the product.
High Vapor Pressure Crude or Condensate Sampilng
System: Sampling systems for high vapor pressure
systems require a unique sampling system designed and
built by Welker Engineering Company. The sampling system
includes the LS probe style sampler, the LS-7 sampling
container and a timing mechanism to meet the customers
needs.
Crude Oil Sampler: The Crude Probe Samplers
are built to insert directly into the flowing stream
to take its sample. The Crude Probe sampler is a positive
displacement pump built ground the Vanishing Chambers
sample Head to take the sample under isokinetic conditions
and pump that sample into the sample container. The
LSM series, because of its design, is unaffected by
waxy, dirty or high viscosity products. The sampler
is capable of cleaning itself of fiber, sand, wax or
heavy product accumulation.
The sampler system includes as separate items the sampler,
a timer or interface, a sample container, on actuator
system and transport containers.
Crude Oil Sampilng Control Systems: The control
package for sampling proportional to flow will interface
with existing metering or Welker can supply an auto
insertion turbine meter for pacing the sampler and checking
the flow. A full range of flow controls, alarms and
outputs may be supplied with the control package.
Bite Checker: The Bite Checker is on outlet
sensing unit for samplers and pumps. The Bite Checker
may be made to sense a specific volume and with a contact
closure or 4-20 MA output, send the output signal to
on interface to count, alarm or control the sampler
or pump.
Instrumentaion Equipment: Welker manufactures
a complete line of sample conditioning products for
complete sample handling.
Instrument Regulators: The IR series Instrumentation
Regulator is designed for the gas industry. Built of
316 stainless steel, the regulator is designed for 5,000
psi inlet and a number of outlet ranges. The IR is specifically
built for gas instrument supply is areas where corrosion
is a problem.
Automatic Insertion Regulator: The IRA is built
for sample conditioning upstream of a chromotograph
or calorimeters. This style of regulation uses the kinetic
energy to help condition the sample and the unique ability
of taking the pressure reduction in the flowing stream.
This style may also be inserted into the pipeline under
pressure through a full open valve.
Instrument Relief Valves: Relief valves for
sever service. 1/4" NPT 316 stainless steel construction.
Low pressure and high pressure service.
Filter Dryers and Filters: The "F"
series of filter and filter dryers was designed expressly
for gas service. The F-4 and F-5 filter dryer is built
to filter and dry instrument gas supplies for controllers,
pump and timer supply and general instrumentation. The
F-4 and F-5 have "spin on" replacement cartridges
for easy maintenance. Other Welker filters cover a wide
range of applications.
Dump Valve: The duo-seal dump valve is built
to withstand severe service. The twin seals keep vend
cuffing and wire crowing of the seat to a minimum.
Automatic liquid Dump: The ALD is used in instrument
systems where liquid carryover is a problem. The ALD
collects liquid from the supply system and automatically
dumps the liquid from the system. The dumping action
is so gentle, that there is no indication of pressure
differential. The ALD maybe used on orifice lead lines,
drain ports on orifice finings or other locations where
liquid accumulation is a problem.
Winders: Welker winders are attached to a standard
Rockwell clock to allow the clock to be wound without
removing the charts.
Fiberglass Enclosures: Welker Engineering manufactures
fiberglass enclosures as small as o timer enclosure
or as large as a meter house.
Welker Scope: A new concept for on existing
application. Meter tube inspection, compressor inspection.
A new means of looking into the pipe without dismantling
the structure.
Chemical Injection: Welker Engineering manufactures
a wide range of chemical pumps. A simple "Barrel
Drainer" style which can be screwed into the top
of o 55 gallon drum for methanol, corrosive chemical,
and odorization; or as complex as on on-line proportional
to flow application for loading tank truck, rail car
or pipeline injection.
Flow Measurement: Welker Engineering has the
capability of building to customer specifications, gas
measurement skids, gas regulation and control skids,
light liquid hydrocarbon measurement skids, and LACT
units.
New Products: Your problems are our opportunities.
