EcoSystem A/T Specifications
Central Controller (PLC)

Functions:
Normal Operation: Times opening & closing of solenoid proportional to pipeline flow, compensated for tank temperature.
Fail-Safe: Backup mode on loss of power or meter signal. Output pulses programmed to user needs.
No-Flow Shutdown: May be programmed to shut odorizer down if the station has no flow (prevents over odorization)
Control Solenoid Operation: An integral flow detector is used to determine if the solenoid performed properly.
Master Shutdown: If the control solenoid fails the PLC is programmed to place the master solenoid into emergency operation (PLC selectable),
Touch Screen Programming:
Easy to read visuals provide you with the ability to program, troubleshoot and monitor all aspects of the system.
Power Required:
12/24 volts DC source:
a) Uninterruptible power supply powered by 60 Hz, 115 Volts AC, using dry storage battery back-up.
b) Solar panel with dry storage battery and charging regulator.
Gas Flow Input:
User configurable for:
a) Analog 1 - 5 V or 4 - 20 maDC proportional to flow rate, or
b) Dry-contact pulses, user configures number of input pulses per output pulse to solenoid, or
c) Dry-contact, one output pulse per input pulse. Odorant Tank

This typical installation diagram Illustrates the relationships of the major elements of the EcoSystem A/T and shows the optional components that are available, Including remote maintenance access using a laptop PC.
Temperature Input:
a)
3-wire, 1000 ohm platinum resistance temperature detector, or
b) 4-20 maDC from Accu/Level transmitter,
c) manual input
Pipeline No-Flow Input:
PLC can accept dry contact or analog signal from an external device to shut the odorizer down in the event the station is turned off. This prevents over odorization.
Outputs:
12/24 vDC to solenoids
Electronics Enclosures
Mechanical:
Dimensions in inches: 16 W x 20 H x 8 Deep (Not including mounting fixtures)
Weight:
Including battery approximately 28 pounds.
Mounting:
Rear tabs. Optional pole mounting bracket available.
Environmental and Electrical Safety:
NEMA-3R or NEMA-4R (weather tight gasketed with stainless steel hardware) primed and epoxy coated.
Optional explosion-proof enclosure,
Operating temperature; -30 to + 120 Degrees F.
Operating relative humidity: 5% to 100% condensing.
Optional heater available.
Pipeline Flow Instrument
Any existing instrument can be used, Flow instruments may be supplied by user or by OdorEyes as an integral part of the system configuration.
Odorant Tank
May be furnished by OdorEyes as an integral part assembly, or may be adapted to users existing or new Tank.
OdorEyes tanks are made to ASME code and are code stamped for pressure rating. Tanks typically are mounted vertically, on three legs and are equipped with the standard reflex sight level gauges, valves and thermowells for RTD.
Optional Accu/Level transmitter may be included. Tanks may include optional steel skids and containment pans.
Other Standard Components
Solenoid Valves: Explosion-proof
Bypass Regulator: Specifically selected to suit the inlet and the outlet pressures required.
Tubing: 0.25 inch O.D. stainless steel, compression fittings, Solenoid Valve Operation Detector
Optional Components
  • Odorant tanks: any size available
  • Electronic level gauge
  • Solar power
  • Gas flow meters
  • Explosion-proof enclosures
